Coding Workshop 7th March

You should bring your laptop and either one of:
- a project you are currently working on
- project you want to start, but haven’t done so yet
- some software problem(s) you have at home or work that you want to explore creating a custom solution for
- a desire to narrow down a project and start trying to code it up
The aim is to get a leg up with coding via hands on practice in an environment where it’s comfortable and easy to ask questions - even if you don’t know the questions to ask.
Terms and Conditions
By signing up to this event, you agree to the following terms.
- 1. Payment. A non-refundable reservation fee is required to book a place at a specific workshop event. The fee amount will be set when bookings are opened. Virtual Blue reserves the right to change the fee amount without notice.
- 2. By reserving a place at an event you agree you will attend the event. If you do not attend an event you have booked, you understand that Virtual Blue may not allow you to book further events.
- 3. Age restriction. You certify that you are at least 18 years of age.
- 4. Non-disclosure. Virtual Blue may require you to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) in order to attend an event. If you do not sign the agreement, you may not be permitted to attend the event. Any booking fee already paid will be refunded if you are not permitted to attend an event because you did not sign the NDA.
- 5. Responsible behaviour. This event is held at the Virtual Blue office. You agree that you will act responsibly and in a manner appropriate to this environment at all times, including keeping to designated areas, taking care to avoid damage to the property, furnishings and equipment in the building, and keeping noise to a conversational level.
- 6. Event Duration. Events begin and end at the designated times. It is your responsibility to arrive when the event is due to commence, and to leave when the event ends. You must not remain in the Virtual Blue office or on the building premises after the event is deemed to have ended.
- 7. Equipment usage. The Virtual Blue office contains equipment (computers and other electronic items) used for the day to day running of the company. In general this equipment is not provided for use in the workshop. You agree not to use or interfere with this equipment unless explicitly given permission to do so. You agree to bring your own computer to use during the workshop.
- 8. Smoking, alcohol and illegal substances. You agree you
- (a) will not smoke, drink alcohol or take illegal substances at the Virtual Blue office or anywhere on the building premises (including the car park);
- (b) will not bring alcohol or illegal substances into the Virtual Blue office or the building premises;
- (c) will not attend the event while drunk or intoxicated on illegal substances.
- 9. Virtual Blue Property. Unless explicitly given permission, you must not remove any property from the Virtual Blue office or building premises. You understand that this may be treated as theft, and Virtual Blue may seek prosecution.
- 10. Workshop Content. Virtual Blue makes no guarantee about - and cannot be held liable for - the content of the workshop, the skills you may or may not learn or the accuracy of any information disclosed during the event. It is your own responsibility to decide how to use any information provided.
- 11. Food and drink. Virtual Blue is not obligated to provide any food or drink at the event, including water. It is your responsibility to bring your own refreshments. You agree to take care not to make a mess when consuming any refreshments, to clean up when finished, and to dispose of any refuse responsibly.
- 12. Personal property. You are responsible for your possessions when you attend the event. Virtual Blue cannot be held liable for any personal property that is lost or damaged for any reason when attending the event.
- 13. Right of Refusal. Virtual Blue has the right to refuse entry to the event for any reason Virtual Blue deems appropriate, whether the booking fee has been paid or otherwise. In the event you have paid a booking fee and your entry to the event is refused by Virtual Blue, your booking fee will be refunded.
- 14. Transport. Virtual Blue does not provide any transport to or from the event. You are responsible for the organisation and funding of your own transport to or from the event.
- 15. Medical care. Virtual Blue is not able to provide any kind of medical care including first aid. If there is a risk you may suffer an incident requiring medical attention due to a known medical condition, then you should not attend any of Virtual Blue's events. Virtual Blue cannot be held liable for any medical incident that may occur as the result of a medical condition while attending an event hosted by Virtual Blue.
